I don't understand the product's claim to save water? Most campsites explain having the push button ones because they make people spend less time in the shower thus saving money by using less water. If I had spent 5 mins fiddling with that to get it on in the first place i think i would be likely to take a longer shower to justify it.
Then, i am one of those who doesn't find pushing the button a problem. I do wish there were always temperature controls though, the setting on showers without is generally ever so slightly too cool for me. Full marks to the CC and the C&CC, on the club sites I have visited, the showers have been free, not push button and with temperature controls. Club sites are also often so much cheaper than privately owned sites with the same level of facilities, that the membership fee is soon 'repaid'.
I use an adjustable bicycle toe strap wrapped round the button, if it's accessable round the back. You'll probably find one of the small straps sold with car bike racks works just as well.
It has "American style suction cups", now what the heck is that?
The buttons don't bother us and there is no way a device that holds a water saving tap in the on position can ever save water, that's a job for trading standards if they use that in thier adverts I think.
I just push the button again before the water stops. That keeps it running. There's enough gear to pack without taking gadgets. (Hope my mother doesn't see it and buy it for me. It's the kind of thing she'd do, thinking it would be useful!)
