I have an old 3 way camping gas fridge, (15 - 20 years old) its been in regular use, we use it on gas when camping and use it all summer at home as a beer fridge. Its always worked like a dream until today when its just given up. I just wondered if anyone knows if its possible to get it repaired or if I should just buy a new one.
Thanks
Debs

try the fuse but if turning it upside down overnight fails to work i guess the heater coil has died ,getting parts compared to the electroluxe ones would be difficult knowing camping gaz.

if theres a distinct bit of warmth coming from the back RHS corner the heater isworking so i would concentrate on the coolent part and turning it over for a few hours then switching back on could cure it
if its dead you could sell its parts on ebay ,the lid with its gasket alone is worth selling or sell it as non working on ebay telling the buyers you tried the upside down trick and you will still get something for it

its still usable on gas if the 240v element has gone but ofcourse more expensive to run.

does anyone know if the 12v heater is a separate coil to the 240v one ,if so that would work but you would need a hefty 12v psu to run it continually
