I thought about one of these, as I am vertically challenged. I decided that they actually took up space not saved it. I made up a stout wooden box, which I use to store items in during the journey, then it can be used as a step when fitting pods etc and then depending on which tent I am using, it becomes either a storage box, a seat, a table or a cover for my outside small gas cylinder.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.

I feel a Dragons Den appearance is in order along with Valbarley, Im very good at managing
I had one of these, it cracked in the middle. They are very weak at the handle point so if you have small feet all your weight is on the middle, which can't take it. They may be ok for folk with bigger feet which spread your weight to the sides where they are stronger.
------------- Caz
If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
As I said early on in this thread for a caravan step they are rubbish but as an occasional step up to reach kitchen cupboards they may be ok. I am 6 foot 15 stone and to use as a step up they will take my weight. But If I step down it would put a load of several hundred pounds, way in excess of its design load.
