We have a Cabanon Jupiter trailer tent which is going on for 8 yrs old. Its ok except that the bed on one side of the trailer tent is now bowing. The inside of the bed used to rest on the trailer side, but there is now a gap, and as a result has no support. The outside of the bed has two folding legs ...and that is fine. Is it possible to get hold of two further folding legs to support the inside of the trailer tent (like the other two). These can be fixed to the bed base and folded when put away.
I have emailed Cabanon through their contact page but have received no answer
Thank You
I used to have a Cabanon Atlantis DL, so I'm reasonably familiar with the frame arrangement on your TT.
Could you simply attach, by way of a pair of hinges, two lengths of (lets say) 2" sq timber set to hinge across the bed base width and which would unfold on pitching the TT. Positioned close to the inside edge, these would drop to support the base close to the frame of the trailer.
If other framework is in the way and prevents this, then maybe use some simple steel poles that you keep loose in the TT, which slot into a pair of sockets, screwed to the base of the frame, again along the edge that requires support.
A ferrule on the ground end of the pole would do, or simply keep a few bit's of MDF block to support them on the ground - drill a shallow hole on one side of the block, same diameter as the pole, into which the bottom of each pole could sit.
As you want to support the inside length of the base, these additional supports could be of fixed length as there would be very little (if any) variation in height of the bed base in relation to the ground at this point, unlike the need for the adjustable legs at the outer edge.
