If your tent is synthetic a tube of seam sealer would be a good idea, and some shock cord (if needed). Our spares kit also includes:- batteries, guy ropes & cleats, gas mantles, airbed bung, scissors, a universal sink plug, string, superglue, toggles, plus all the other things which other posters have mentioned.
Was thinking that my toolbox was complete untill I saw JK48's list. Must go out and get a universal sink plug, thanks for the idea. You always think you have everything......
There's Clingon's on the starboard bow, starboard bow, starboard bow
Sorry about that, but Clingons / Holdons or Clampits call them what you will, always handy in any repair kit.

Hi folks,
Always a good one is clear tarp tape, it's almost as strong as tenacious tape but it comes in 30ft rolls, loads stronger than duct tape.
Came in super handy when we unknowingly pitched on a vole nest and took the carpet up to pack away to find a 6 inch hole in the ground sheet. Doh!
Also extra peg puller,I always seem to lose it!
Spare batteries and spare fuses for the inverter.
Clingons are great if an eyelet rips. They attach onto the canvas and give you a temp eyelet. The more you pull on them the more they grip. A must in your kit............
I did not include my universal sink plug as it stays in the box containing the kitchen stuff.
Must get some Clingons, large and small, as I need the large ones for the tarp and small ones to hold a blanket over the dog's bed in place.
