In my garage I have a Calor Gas bottle which is nearly full and a propane bottle. Are these worth anything and can I take them to a Calor agent for a refund?
I don't need them because I use a Coleman cooking system. I remember when looking at cookers at go outdoors they told me that the cost to get your first Calor gas bottle was about £40 plus refill and when you retunrd the bottle you got your £40 back.

Unless you have the original contract you will not get a refund.

Also, according my contract you would only get a refund on the gas & not the bottle.------------- Homebird

That does not make sense. You rent the bottle and buy the gas.

Even if you did get a refund from a calor agent I doubt you would get what you paid for it because it isn`t a full bottle.
Why not place it on the free ads section and ask £20 for it.

Don't know if it still applies but the refund goes down every year to nothing and you would need your original agreement.
As already advised free ads or similar

ebay or freeads on here - they definetly have a value on second hand market as people can use them to exchange and only pay for refills rather than pay for an expensive new contract
I had an old green patio gas one in my old patio heater and I exchanged that for a small propane cylinder whohc was great as needed two for the camper so only had to buy one "new" one

Calor bottles cost £30 + gas from a supplier so you should flog each bottle for a fiver or more on a boot sale or similar.

I don't think you can put them on Ebay as they are not yours to sell, I'm not defending this position it's just that ebay will remove the listing

Not a problem selling them on flebay, there is a 100+ calor gas bottles on there for sale. griff10553 has a good idea place it in the free ads section on here. I had an almost full Propane bottle and wanted to swap if for a Butane bottle, because it was used the Calor agent would'nt care and probably would have kept it for them self. I swapped it for a Butane bottle and reg from Tentz rather than give it back to the agent.
