I bought an Outwell Virginia 5 from Yeomans last year with the intent to get the front extension, footprint and carpet this year. Problem is that nowhere seems to be selling this Outwell model this year and so I can't get any of the accessories now! I've heard that some of the Vango products will be suitable and was wondering if anyone had used any of them?
We also have a Virginia 5 but were lucky enough to get the canopy. The carpet we just use an oblong one from the other tents and tuck it under where the tent shapes - had no problems. If you can find a vango carpet and do the above you'll be fine
Having purchased a Virginia 5 at the end of last year, I've gone to buy the carpet and found the same as 'Scout79' ie it's now impossible to source. I've spoken to staff at Yeomans who told me that they're reducing the number of lines that they stock, deciding to sell the Vango Icarus 500 instead of the Virginia. As the Virginia was sold exclusively by Yeomans, there's nowhere else to buy it from. Staff in the store at the weekend checked their stock levels and stated that some stores are still showing stock. So, the best way to get hold of one is to drop in to a store and see if they can transfer a carpet for you.
Alternatively, they told me that the nearest match is the carpet for the Bear Lake 4. However, this seems to sell for around £65, significantly more than the Virginia carpet was selling for. Having had a look around, it seems that the carpet for the Vango Icarus 500 is a similar size, so I don't know whether this is any good as an alternative ?
