Hi. I am wondering about picking up a reception for my tv in our new van. The van is 2002 model with a built in aerial and booster. We were going to use an old 14" portable TV but now I have this thought that it won't work because of moving over to digital.What do you guys do? I am new to caravans and I don't understand modern technology too good either. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you

Hi Ash-6719 their is only tow ways you can go 1/ you could by a digi box which will work in conjuntion with your old tv converting the signal for your old tv.2/you could by a new tv the modern ones come with everything built in eg free view and dvd you can pick them up quite cheaply now we got one from argos for £100 flat screen very light and all singing and dancing,you can also get 12v or 240v or both it all depends on your needs and with the new ones you get a good picture all the time when useing the built in arials this is the way I would go if I were you.A third way to go is a saterlight dish but this way needs quite a lot of messing about with setting up it all depends on how much money you want to spend.Ian

Its not the telly or ur airel thats at fault, u must have a free view box or something similar that recieves digital signals.

Look out for a Freeview box very cheap around £10 a lot cheaper that buying a new tv.

Ok thank.I think I will go with the option mentioned above. I can get a 19" freeview with built in DVD from Asda at just around £90. Thanks again
