Once in lifetime trip to Florida Oct 2015!!!
Hello all,my tent is off for another outing soon, but not with me and hubby!!
My mum wants to do a sleep over for my 2 and my 3 nephews and niece, but hasn't the bedroom space...solution is our tent in her garden!!
She and they will be under strict instructions to make sure it isn't ripped or damaged atall, god help them if it is damaged!!
We will go round and pitch it for her,and take it down though. The children are all very excited to say the least, not sure grandma really knows what she has let herself in for!!
Just a quick update on our Athens, and positive feedback for SK Camping...
The very nice man at SK replaced the broken pole springs and gave us a pack of new ones, plus some repair tape for the small area of seam that had not been taped (some of which has already been deployed to mend a dog-induced airbed deflation ). He also measured the porch groundsheet on their display tent so we could compare it with ours. Ours turned out to be shorter and wider than theirs so SK swapped it for a new one - they did all this with good grace and took us at our word throughout, nothing was too much trouble for them.
We haven't used it again yet, can't wait for our trip to Ullswater at the end of July :-)
Mojoflo that's good of you to lend your new pride and joy out, I hope the kids loved their camping sleepover!
That's great news,we find them very helpful with any queries or help needed, they are always first for our camping needs, unless I can find things online cheaper!!
My only thing I wish to alter or quick fix is the side porch groundsheet,I am thinking of putting Velcro around the sides of the bathtub sheet,as we did find it quite drafty, and as we use it as a en-suite,I prefer a non drafty 4am call...
Next weekend is the tents next outing, unless the weather is bad,and the kids will all bunk together in mums lounge(rather her than me)so fingers crossed!!
Look forward to your review after your trip in July,we are off to Cornwall in August and we are confident that if the weather is still bad,we will at
least be dry and comfy,we are not going to be beaten by the weather...unless a hurricane appears or 4" of snow decides to fall!!!
