Go for a camping kettle, something like this as they are low wattage. They use and average of 4.35 amps.

In France most sites are 6 amps, which allows equipment totalling 1380 watts.

Hope it helps.

Have a look in Aldi, they may still have them in store from last month, we had a 750watt travel kettle from Lidl, which to be fair worked fine, but the Aldi travel kettle is 1100watt so will boil a little quicker, and still only drawing just under 5amp.

The one in the above link, looks great at 1.7lt capacity, as most travel kettle's only seem to be 500ml capacity, which is fine for just us 2.

Although I would guess the 1.7lt kettle is going to take more that 4 times the amount of time to come to the boil, compared to the Aldi 500ml model, unless of course you only part fill the 1.7lt model.

I picked up a travel kettle (500ml) from Sainsburys last week. It was £19, not cheap but perfect for 2 cuppas.

Many domestic kettles will draw too much power so either look at low wattage kettles made specifically for camping or travel kettles or consider buying a whistling kettle to use on your gas stove.

Also recommend the Aldi travel kettle. Quick and does two full cups, no problem with EHU.
