We have had one for approx 6 years. I find it good, its quick to warm up and cool down after use.  I windy weather it is necessary to improvise shields.

We have this, we got ours from Towsure last year cost £19.95.

Does what it should, you can also turn down the gas, leave the top on (just a small gap or the flame goes out) and use it to roast.

I had one. My experience of it was guff! The lava rock was hopeless and created lots of hot and cold spots so you had to constantly move the food around. It also had a tendency to flare up as well. Mine got rusty really quickly and considering the cafuffle (is that a real word?) of setting it up, t-piece and extra hose for the gas bottle, better off with the real thing in my opinion. Damned think nearly set my cook tent on fire once when I left a mate to look after the black pudding and sausage!

I have one, found i needed to buy extra lava rock as not enough supplied with it,works fine soon heats up.

We have one of these, did buy extra lava rock and it works fine.  At least you get nice bbq flavour from this, we also have a cadac which we use but you do not get the same flavour from the Cadac.  They are quicker than using a regular bbq as heating up time is only 5 mins before cooking but you do need to shield it if you are using it in a windy area!
