Is there a difference between gas mantles and liquid fuel (unleaded) mantles? Will any mantle fit any lamp?

different gas mantles

I would say that the answer to the first q. is Yes, the answer to the second q is no.

JMHO but if you don't know the first thing about them, go and ask an expert as it could be dangerous.

I know at least that the mantles can come in different sizes and so will not fit any lamp.

As to differences between fuels I do not know but I would guess tht they are different as they are designed for different fuel.

Cheers

Aren't both a liquid befor they exit the jet. LPG gas, Liquified Petroleum Gas

I know that's not an answer to you question though. I would THINK that all mantles are the same material, but the sizes would be the problem.

Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.

If it will fit it will work all mantles are basically the same . Just tend to alter in size . I know my gas light mantle won't fit the petrol lantern but the the not being big enough put the petrol ones fit all .
