This may be a stupid question. We have never used the waste water container with the kitchen sink in our trailer tent - have now decided we possibly may but hubby is querying whether there is a chemical you put into it to stop it getting manky.
Appreciate it will have washing up liquid in up but with the holiday fry ups it could get a bit greasy over a couple of days.
If you emoty it regurlaly enough and avoid putting waste food down the sink then you will not have a problem. We rinse ours out twice a year with Milton / Disinfectant and have had no problems. Remember to rinse out the waste pipe as well though - just poor a little hot water and Milton down and that does the trick
Elysian pink is a big NO NO!!! Not for what you call grey water ,
The Elsan Pink is only for the toilet flush and to be put down proper Elsan disposal area or toilet. Not to be put into normal water system.

Take no notice Elsan pink will do it, a couple of capfuls will keep it fresh. Then at the end of your season use a tank cleaner. I tend to use bleach and warm water and leave in the tank for a few hours the warm water will loosen any grease and the bleach will get rid of most of the nasty stuff. Then a few drops of pink will keep it fresh until the next season. As for the corrugated waste pipe it is corrugated on the inside as well to make it flexible. Well it is on caravans and i am pretty sure its the same throughout the industry.

...well, I replaced a damaged waste hose on our previous MH(..an '07 Compass)and the hose that came off was, definately smooth on the inside...
