The cheapest I can find one of the above is £9.99 delivered (free super saver delivery) from Amazon.

Does anyone know if it can be bought cheaper (inc delivery) anywhere else?

I looked for ages, and ended up paying just over that from Amazon last year.

In the end I got tired of looking and bought it, as I needed the bag. (and i'm glad I did17)

If you have a GO outdoors discount card, they will price match plus 10% off. A quid cheaper...

Alas no GO discount card and my nearest GO is Bristol so £5 for the card and petrol to Bristol wouldn't make it worth it.

I reckon £9.99 from Amazon will be the best I can get.

It's just under what I paid for mine. Wise investment. Won't find it cheaper.

Did come in a stupidly big box, though.

when i bought my stove a campingaz camping chef it came with a free bag and a free regulator and it only cost about £35.00

the stove is dearer now and you dont get the bag or the regulator included

we have just bought another stove from tesco for £8.50 and the bag to put it in would have been dearer than the stove, so i guess it will have to live in the box for now

a tenner delivered is a good price go for it

Sorry to hijack - I've just bought one of the bargain camping gaz double burners from tesco too, but remember reading on here that it was better to get a calor gas bottle as this is cheaper to refill - can anyone tell me what exactly I'm looking for re the bottle and regulator - a local shop is selling a camping gaz 907 2.5 kg (full) for £25 but I've got no idea whether this is a good deal or even the right size or whether to investigate the calor option...please help!

when you get your first bottle you need to pay a one off charge for your first cylinder often called a deposit

I would say the £25.00 907 is the price with an exchange cylinder so i doubut you would get one for that price with no empty cylinder

if you buy a 907 and pay the deposit it will cost you £50 to £60 first time and then £25.00 every time you have a refill

a calor 4.5kg with the deposit will cost £45 to £55 for your first time and around £15 o £18 to refill so more gas for less money, if you can get any empty calor cylyinder on this list

Calor exchange table

so if you can get any of the blue or red cylinders on that list from a reycycling centre the local tip or a scrap yard e bay or freecycle take the empty in and just pay for the refill

calor 4.5kg

if you get a calor 4.5kg you will need

calor 4.5kg regulator

if you get a campingaz 907 you need

campingaz 907 regulator

you need an empty first try all of the above and ask your friens and neighbours you never know you may get lucky and find one and save a good few quid on the deposit

Think I will. I got the Camping Chef stove from Amazon in one of their lightening deals. Think I paid about £24 for it. A regulator (genuine Camping Gaz) cost £7.99 from Amazon so with case the lot cost just under £42.

Thank you force 10 - that's really useful advice - I felt a bit overwhelmed by it all but you've cleared up the confusion for me!

Don't be tempted to go with Calor if you're planning to camp in mainland Europe because Calor don't sell their gas outside of the UK!
