I am thinking about buying a camping carpet. We used a picnic blanket with waterproof backing for our last trip, and this was so good we thought that a proper carpet would be perfect. However, I've read somewhere (but can't remember where) that the Vango range is not that good and you're better to get something else and maybe cut it to fit.

Has anyone done this and can recommend a good carpet, or is Vango OK? I would prefer a purpose made correct size rather than a 'home-made' job.

We have the carpet for our 2009 Vango Kura 600 and have had no problems with it.

We kept it when we sold the tent as it is a good fit for the awning of our TT.

i have a carpet for our icarus 600xl and we found it to be lovely,thick and kept the cold out.

Defo get one. We had the carpet when we had a Vango. It was thicker then a picnic blanket and fitted well.
