What is my trailer worth??? We have just bought a caravan so we are looking at selling our 2 year old erde 143 trailer with every available extra.

abs hard top cover

side extensions

load bars

locking wheel nuts

shock absorbers

jocky wheel and clamp

spare wheel and clamp

hitchlock

rear drop down support stands

 to buy this toaday with all these extra parts it is around £1500.00. but now i don't have any use for it so it very reluctantly has to go and i wondered what it was worth as it really is in amazing condition and quite often gets comments from other campers.

Erde trailers do hold their price but the accessories do not hold their price as well

I would expect the trailer on its own to fetch £300-350 with all the accessories you have I would not expect it to fetch £700.

the extension sides may fetch more money separate than they would increase the value of the trailer by and they are fairly popular as an accessory.

I have just sold a 193 with extension sides, spare, jockey wheel and abs cover for £780 but i wanted it out the way it still took 1 week to sell but I think I could have got £550-600 for the trailer on its own.

I always service used trailers before I sell and offer 3 months warranty

it is a shame that you have rear drop down support stands as the trailer is not designed to take these and the integrity of the trailer will have been compromised fitting them.

The reason that the props damage a smaller trailer is firstly you drill the metal and this means that there zinc plating is damaged and it will rust easily, and secondly the models that are designed to take the props have a strengtheners fitted behind the side predrilled points that stops the mounting point from bending if you have put any weight on the props it could have bent the floor pan where the props are mounted. Models that are designed to take the props are 163 and above.

if people ask us we do point out the problem with drilling and recommend that if they are doing this to fit some plates under the floor to spread the load.

shaun 123 as I stated the trailer on its own I would expect £300-350 I think it is mad that people pay this type of money but people will pay this for a trailer that is only £422 new

but ad the hardtop, exrension sides, jockey wheel, wheel nuts, spare wheel etc that cost about £750 or more depending on how they are brought will only increase the value by about £350 to £700

this is the way people will pay for used Erde trailers.
