They are very thin and flimsy.

Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.

Looks like the one we bought, I wouldn't say they were thin and flimsy. We upgrade to the Cadac one just for the size plus only £22 at go outdoors thanks to price match.

We now use in kitchen

Paella pans are meant to be thin so they lose heat more quickly to prevent the rice overcooking. Also not normally non stick, but it'd make washing a lot easier I guess

Not that I know MUCH about cooking...

Paella Pans...the pan is the Paella...and the name is also given to the dish cooked within it. WE LOVE PAELLA...have had an Aldi one for 2 years. They are very good indeed.they can be used in or out of the oven...they have not as yet twisted when used in our oven, as we cover the whole oan with rice etc.....not thinly but a good depth. I have heard it ping whilst on the outdoor BBQ that has cooked all of the meat that is going into the rice within the pan. NOW for the tecnical bit please.Still on topic.

Where can Safron be bought in UK without paying the earth for a miserly amount please?

Go outdoors do a price match plus 10% off extra, found online for £32, they took off the difference and voila. They did make a mistake and took the 10% of twice mind you.
