Hi,
My first post on here, I need some advice from you knowledgeable and experienced campers please.
I am the proud owner of a Cabanon Champagne, possibly of 1970's vintage, which I acquired free! However it came without the front sun canopy and I'd really like to get my hands on one. I've tried the Cabanon website and owners club but it seems this model was discontinued around 2001.
Any ideas??
I have a Cabanon Champagne (see my profile) with a sun canopy. Fantastic tent. It is used by my teenage son and his mate and is perfect as they can stand up in it.
The sun canopy is simply a square of hemmed canvas with an eyelet in each corner. It is then tied on with webbing straps through the holes underneath the stub canopy. The front eyelets go into two king poles which are then guyed out at the front.
You could easily have one made or make it yourself.
Cheers very much for your advice guys.
Looks like homemade is the way forward. I'm surprised I never thought that in the first place, I'm all in favour of making things wherever possible, instead of buying.
