I'm not sure if anyone can help. We went camping this weekend, and there wasn't enough flame to come out of our stove to cook our meals - it took about 2 hours to cook burgers! The flame just wouldn't get very hot. We bought a new canister as the other one was a bit low, but it wasn't any better.
Could there be a problem with the hose (although we cut off both ends and re-threaded it), or the regulator? We thought it may be the regulator, but thought if it was faulty it would cut off the gas rather than reduce the flow?
I had the same problem with a gaz bottle/ stove/ regulator. In other words, all gaz equipment. It turned out to be the regulator was faulty in my case.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
Definitely sounds like regulator problems - it has been a common problem in caravans for a few years where gunge leaches out of the gas hose and drops into the regulator. The symptoms are almost exactly as described (been there, done that)!
