does anyone know a company that would make a simple oblong shaped sun canopy complete with eyelets. i would want it made from a weatherproof tent or awning fabric.
I had one made a few years ago by Brian Park Camping. Gave a photo and sizes and a lovely sun canopy was made. It gave us a load of extra room but with the weather it was used more as a rain canopy than a sun canopy. Ours was shaped to have a ridge so that the water ran down the sides but also slightly forward to keep it away from the tent. www.brianparkcamping.co.uk/

Thanks peeps for the information posted, as I too am looking for a simple small rectangular canopy to be made to provide additional shade/cover for the front of my tent which is used as a kitchen and sitting area.

TVS in Bolton made exactly what you are describing for us several years ago; it worked very well as a cheap sun canopy. This year we used Decathlon's tarp tied to the folding camper & that was also very effective. Not the best if it rains a lot though!
