I am looking at buying an Isabella opus awning, my caravan Lunar quasar 546, has an "A" measurement of 985. Currently using a size 14 Dorema awning but want to change. Issabella web site states required awning rail size is 1000, would the extra 65mmon the 1065 make much of a differance to renerd it unsuitable? I suppose it could be altered if necessary.
It would almost certainly need altering and it would depend on the panel shapes as to how much could be cut out. The danger is if too much is removed to match the A measurement the shape of the awning would change leading to the possibility of sagging and wrinkled roof panels. Probably best to take advice of a good awning alteration/repairer.

A 1065 awning will be far too big for a van size 985. You might think it's not that much bigger but you have to remember it affects the side panels as well as the roof, and nothing will fit squarely as it should.
You'd have to have it altered. Isabella can do this for you, and their collection service is first rate. They don't seem to charge more than any other repair / alteration company, either, so worth giving them a call.
