I am looking at buying an Isabella opus awning, my caravan Lunar quasar 546, has an "A" measurement of 985. Currently using a size 14 Dorema awning but want to change. Issabella web site states required awning rail size is 1000, would the extra 65mmon the 1065 make much of a differance to renerd it unsuitable? I suppose it could be altered if necessary.
I answered this on your other thread. Yes, it would make a difference. Go with the recommended size for your van or, if the awning you're looking at is a bargain too good to miss, get quotes for amending it and factor that in to see if it's still such a bargain.
Isabella will tell you if it can be done (they're best to advise on this, even if you don't use them for the alteration, since it's their awning) and will give you an idea on price.
Thanks for the advice, just confirmed my thoughts. Have bought the awning & got quotation from specialist to alter at £93.00, so got the awning for less than 50% cost of new, just got to sell my Dorema now.............. good old E-bay again.
