Hi everyone
I want to check whether to spray Fabrisil on the inside or outside of my tent?
I don't have a leak but last time it rained a bit of water came through the seam, which is no surprise with the amount of rain that fell on it. So better be safe than sorry I am going to spray them all.
I think I saw a message that said inside but can't find it.
Er..i wouldnt spray it on the inside as it smells like a gas attack on the somme. Its for the outside, when spraying make sure the area looks wet before doing another bit.
If it's only a seam which is leaking, DON'T Fabsil the tent, just use seam sealer on the inside & leave tent up for a good few hours to make sure the sealer is dry - otherwise it may act like glue & stick parts of your tent together which you don't want stuck together

To answer your specific query (without a Health & Safety lecture) There is no problem applying it from the inside (in fact, given the height of a FC/TT, application to the roof from the inside is the only way)
Spray it (or brush it) and then rub it into the cavas with a clean white cloth,. Then allow to dry.
It's important that no rain affects it until it's dried.
Just to set the record straight (and to counter the many hysterical old-wives tales that seem to be circulating on here!) re-proofing does NOT (repeat NOT!) mean that you will need to do it anually!
I've no idea where this nonsense orginated - but, trust me, it *is* just *that* - absolute and complete nonsense.
Fabsiling your canvas is just about the best thing you can do for it - in addition to waterproofing it, it will help stop fading, and greatly assist in reducing the possibility of mildew.

As OP has a polyester tent he needs to Fabsil the outside NOT the inside
