I usually like to go into campsing shops and have a browse, as you always see something additional you may desire...but no, I thought, I know exactly wehjat I want so I'll buy on-line.
Easy, I asked for the Vango Adventure Tapr in black, and bought the suggested longer poles. Today I called to see when I could expect delivery as it had alerady been 3 days.......the girl on the phone in a dreary tone said "it's out of stock, but did I stillwant the poles" Why on earth would I want poles for a tarp that was out of stock.......she then said try the store, so I called the store and he immediately said " black is exclusive on line".
I have come to the conclusion that the people in-store at least have some sound knowledge and the girl on the phone was clueless (she didn't sound too bright).
A) Wouldn't you think that the girl taking teh order should have access to stock levels before taking the order.
B) As the item was a link sale, you'd think she would realise that I didn't need the poles for it.
So I think camping kit will be bought in the store in future

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
I took delivery of one of these just yesterday, only mine was "Excalibur"........ Don't know why, I just thought it'd be charcoal or similar......... but it's black!!! Very nice though.
Came with one standard pole (I have six king poles anyway).
This time Monday, it will be in place, as my new kitchen shelter.
Our motorcycle club have a similar Vango tarp except it came with 2 poles to which we added more so we can adapt it according to weather conditions etc. We use it as our club shelter at rallies and it is fantastic. We've had lots of interest from other bikers and wonder if, next season, there will be a spooky propagation of Vango tarps at rallies.
Oh, by the way, ours is a jolly pleasant olive green colour.
