Hi all, can anyone recomend a decent table and stool/chair set?. We had one of those cruddy plastic all in one jobs with the stools attatched and are looking for something a bit more robust. It's to seat me,wife and our two sons aged 7 and 5. space isn't such an issue as we have a 3'x4' trailer. Any recomendations would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, you obviously haven't grasped the gravity of the situation.
Hi there, my suggestion may not help but worth a try! We previously had a trailer tent and used a table and bench set bought from Towsure (www.towsure.co.uk). They are fold-up types and are lightweight; costly at about £65 but worth it. They have one in the 2012 catalogue (not sure about 2013). It was a little hard on the bottom for prolonged periods but after a glass of wine you should be fine!
we prefer the separate models, a good sized fold down table with non matching chairs,
we use a mix of some of those fold flat garden chairs, (not quite a sun longer) and the more sit up straight models with fabric seating that you can get from supermarkets
you can then use the same chairs in to relax in away from the table
No idea how it would fair with the kiddies, but my initial thought is that I can't envisage any problems.
The height is adjustable, but only as a whole, ie. the legs aren't individually adjustable, so uneven ground may result in a slight wobble.
Certainly plenty of room for two adults to dine at. I'm sure there's room for the two young 'uns too.
The stools are great. As well as obviously sitting at the table, they are ideal for sitting by the kettle, waiting for the whistle, and more importantly, they are really, really handy at the door, for getting wellies off etc. without falling over or toppling onto the tent wall..... not that we're unsteady on our feet or anything!!
The whole thing packs up as one "suitcase" with handle. Decent size, decent weight.
We have that aswell. We use the stools to put up our feet up when kiddies in bed. Older kids would be more suited to the stools. Mine 2 and 5 have their own little chairs. They dont take up much space.
Im with "shamc21" on this one. Decent table with separate adjustable legs so it can be leveled up on uneven ground was a must for us as got so fed up with wobbly tables. Dont like stools or benches even just to sit on at a table so bought adjustable chairs so we could use them upright at the table or more reclined for relaxing in

I've just realised I've made a boo-boo....
We actually use THIS (individual adjustable legs/mud-feet) to eat at, with the stools from the originally mentioned set. Not big enough for a family of four to eat at, in all honesty, but ideal for two adults.
The aforementioned table gets used in the tent as a work surface type thing. Sorry!!
Well what a Boo Boo that was Mucker lucky you found out before your next trip otherwise you would be sitting at the wrong table wondering where your dinner was and OH would be thinking your sulking.

Argos have an aluminium table and stool set on sale at 39.99 atmosphere, down from 80 they claim although i've never seen them at that price before. They look really sturdy - don't know if I can warrant chucking my plastic version out to buy it though
