Hi everyone, I know this subject has been done over and over so apologies but I would like a bit of advice please. It looks as if the Hi Gear convertible kids sleeping bag that i wanted has been discontinued as it has been taken off the website, kicking myself for not buying one last week! We are camping over Easter so after a good warm sleeping bag for my 3 year old, he is only little so didn't fancy an adult one for him yet. Anyone heard of or got a kids azuma 3 season 300 sleeping bag?

Was reading from a mountaineering site that its not the bag that keeps you warm but your own body heat, the bag only traps the heat from it.

The best bag you can buy is a feather down bag as long as it does not get wet.

Not from the same site but this might help with choosing a bag for him.Click

Both synthetic and down have pros and cons and it really depends on how much you're looking to spend. Is weight and size an issue? Is it likely to get wet? Will you look after a down bag when it's not in use? etc etc.

Another good article is this one from the British Mountaineering Council to give you some food for thought.

There are other threads on this site about kids bags in particular and lots of folk say they have adult bags (and fold the end over) rather than specific kids bags.

Thanks everyone for your replies and advice, I have taken a look at the various websites and they give good info, we have decided to visit the NEC show next week so are hoping they will have sleeping bags there to have a look at.
