Do any of our technical wizards know if a mover designed to fit a twin axle 'van,be used on a single axle.I have the chance to buy one at a good price if it does.
Any help appreciated
A mover designed for a twin axle van will have four motors and two cross drives which are all surplus to what you need also the control box would be programmed for all this extra hardware so the twin axle system would need butchered to fit a single axle van so would probably be a waste of a good mover to be honest, why not keep your eyes open for a mover designed for a single axle van?
If it is a twin motor version rather than a 4 motor version it MAY be possible to do an upgrade to the controller but you would need to check with the manufacturer/importer for specifics to a particular model.
I think there are a couple of manufacturers who's systems are modular and if it is a 4 motor version there is an outside chance you may be able to convert it but tbh it would probably not be worth the effort and would work out cheaper to go for single axle mover in the first place.
