Evening all forum dwellers! I hope you have all had a good Easter break?

I was hoping to pick peoples brains out there with regards to my new outwell Oakland XL front awning. I purchased this in Jan have only just got round to putting this up today due to the wonderful weather we've had.

We followed the instructions from Outwell on YouTube and this all looked easily done. Once we put the first set of poles into the none adjustable ring and pins we then tried to attach the opposite poles into the adjustable ring and pins which proved to be quite testing. We finally managed this but noticed the fly sheet was not even on the down poles or the roof poles.

The problem is now that there is no movement to be able to move the fly sheet so one side is nowhere near the ground hence unable to peg down and the other has far too much slack.

Has anyone had a similar issue and if so how did you resolve this.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just used ours for the first time at the weekend and had similar problems.
Also struggled to work out where to position it from the pictures. In the end I think we were a little far back as the bath tub groundsheet seemed too long.
Hope some other folks have some good solutions. Sorry I 'm in the same boat as you.

Hi
If you take a look at this "How to video" this might help with the ring and pin situation. As for it not being level, other than saying they never are that even and not seeing any images its hard to comment. This video How to pitch an Oakland xl tent might help also...

Thanks Gary, a useful general tip. The problem we both had was that no matter how we had the fabric lined up on the top pole, when we put in the fixed pin in, the fabric at the adjustable side could scarcely reach the ground
