Hi guys,,.. Before i splash out about 150 squid on one of them aerobed double height all singing all dancing NEVER LEAKING air beds... I`m going to bang a question about and see whether anyone knows of a fix...
I have a double airbed.. With the electric built in pump that inflates and deflates the bed... Sadly... During the night i have to give the bed a bit of a top up.. Its only a slight leak.. and i know for a fact its coming from the Pump... Now im no expert but i gather the pump is just sealed with a diaphram...Is there any way of making sure that once the pump is turned off from inflate the diaphram actually makes a proper seal?? Im thinking some sand or dust has got in the seal seat and is letting air out every so slowly... Would a decent spraying of WD40 cause the seal to "engage" better??

Np idea re wd40 but I chucked our aerobed ... after I had lovingly spent hours patching it with aero patches.

Have a coleman double (which you inflate on each side) and its the best we've had (I have a recovering slipped disc and the bed is brilliant)

We also have the Coleman comfort air beds and they are fantastic. No leaks and very comfortable indeed.

WD40 could possibly damage the rubber seal/diaphram.

We've got the Coleman comfort airbeds and think they're great and have had them for 4 years now (although have had to replace the double after it got puncture when someone laid on it with keys in his back pocket... Thankfully it was on his side and he suffered when his side went down. Mine was fine )

A friend has switched to the Coleman after their all-singing-all-dancing aerobed sprung a leak.

We have an intex queen size air bed and think its great. The pump is separate and is used for deflating vacuum bags at the end of the trip and works well. We only have to re inflate the bed every 2-3 days and don't think that's too bad.

We had an Intex airbed before we got the SIMS and then the Colemans.
