Hi,

Just bought a Coleman Instant Tourer 4 as a retreat at archery tournaments.  Looks fine except that the sides slope inwards at the top, which means rain will enter the tent if door left open.  Yes...I appreciate shutting the door will solve the problem but for various reasons I need the door to remain open.

Therefore, I've been looking around for a suitable 'Porch' flap to fit over the door as Coleman don't appear to have considered this and don't offer one.  It seems there are a number of so called porches on the market but they are not only expensive but amount to an extension on a tent of the Instant Tourer size!

Any suggestions?

You should be able to use a Vango Adventure Tarp with an longer pole and some longer guys okay. It may well cover the top ventilation holes on your Tourer 4 though.

Just been looking into this some more and perhaps a better option would be the High Peak 2 Tarp (http://www.amazon.co.uk/High-Peak-10033-Tarp-2/dp/B000LD8WZG/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2MGESQ19OTRD2&coliid=I3G4TFP7F4XHOX) This is 2m tall (so there would be enough clearance for the vents) and 4m long (giving about 1.60m at the front with a small shelter over the rear hatch vent too).

Thinking of getting one for my own Tourer 4, will post photos if I do :)

i have bought and used a Quechua tarp quite successfully. If you look on the review section for the Instant tourer 4 there are two photos there showing how I have set it up.Hope this is helpful!
