Hi Guys,
Just a quick and hopefully easy question.
I have an awning light to put up, it comes with Crocodile clips so I can attach it straight to the leisure Battery in the van.
This is where my question comes from, if I was not on hook up no problems as power is just coming out of the battery.
If I hook on when on site can I still connect my light straigh to the battery? Will it make no difference even when the onboard battery charger kicks in to to top the battery up?
Just my brain working oddly, thinking 'well if power is going in and out will it be OK'
Cheers for the advise guys.

This should be fine. It's definitely fine on a car battery and the structure is fairly similar.------------- There is a place to hide, it's in our minds.

As said it will work fine, but does it have an inline fuse? it should be just after where it clips onto the live on the battery.
If there is no fuse and you have a problem with the light or cable, it will melt the cable, very possible fire risk.
In line fuses can be got from car accessary shops, cheap and easy to fit.

Good to know, I think it has got a fuse but I have one in my tool box I can add if needed, I brought it a couple of years ago and never used it. I have the black one and loads of blade fuses.
Thanks Guys.

Just make sure you get a good contact on the terminals and the cable is secured so if it did get a pull it will not come loose from the battery. ------------- Happy Camping
