I’ve just acquired an Akai LCD-TV/DVD Combi Model ALD1590H. It’s without a manual so I know nothing about it. Can any one help please – is it even a digital model or one of the old variety?

It doesn't look as though this has a DVB-T capability which if true means it won't get the new Digital TV in the UK.

It will work fine as a DVD player.

Is THIS the one?

They're pretty much all 12v really. You just have to find a connector to fit. Those circular inverted 3.5mm jack type things.

This will convert any Freeview box to 12v.
