I need some advise please! Firstly this is my first forum post so if I have done it wrong I'm sorry. I've recently purchased a caravan (woo hoo) and I am now suffering from a massive headache trying to find a hitch lock that is compatible with a alko 1800 with an in built stabiliser. Any help advice would be greatly appreciated.
Alko didn't make an 1800 model stabiliser as far as I know so best to check again what model it is. It sounds more likely to be the 1300 model.
Below is a list of 3 stabilisers and the 1300 is the one on the right with the locking handle on the side, the other two have the locking handle on the top.
I had an Alko 1300 stabiliser on my previous caravan and I found the one in the link to be better than others because the large hardened steel pin makes it difficult to cut through plus it was cheaper and better than the Alko one. As a word of advice, which ever hitch lock you decide to buy make sure that it covers the 2 mounting bolts that secure the stabiliser as some only protect the ball socket itself which is pointless as a thief can then just unbolt the stabiliser and replace with their own tow hitch in order to tow the caravan away.

I found this advert on UK Campsite for exactly the same product but if you purchase this and mention that you are a member of UKCS then I believe you get a further 5% discount off the purchase price.
Thanks for all the advice. I have already ordered a Milenco super heavy 3004 alko hitchlock, if this isn't any good. I'll try one that has been suggested
The Alko 3004 hitchlock that you have ordered most likely won't fit the Alko 1300 hitch as the locking handles are in different places that's why I asked which one you had and provided a link to the one that WILL fit. I had the 1300 model fitted on my previous caravan and still have the hitchlock for it (that's how I knew) but the caravan I have now has an Alko 2000 so I had to buy a box type hitchlock due to the different position of the stabiliser locking handle. The Alko 3004 hitchlock is for a 3004 stabiliser which is the one on the left in the picture that I posted but you said that yours was the one on the right (the 1300 model).
I had already ordered the hitchlock before you had posted the links which I am grateful for (I didn't realise that you would go to the extent of finding me a hitchlock as well) thank you. I ordered the 3004 hitchlock as it says it is suitable for the AKS1300 please see below.
Super Heavy Duty AKS3004 Hitchlock Hitch Lock Fits AL-KO AK130, AK160, AKS1300, AKS2004 & AKS3004 stabilisers and hitches This hitchlock has been engineered and designed to be the strongest hitchlock ever made for the Alko range of hitches.
Okay, I was just concerned that you may have wasted your money that's all but if it stated that the hitchlock will fit the 1300 then that's fine. Milenco is probably the best brand on the market so you've invested in a renown quality product for security.
