I have a portable satellite kit which I use exclusively with my caravan.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way of checking whether the LNB is working OK without having to set the whole kit and kaboodle up - much the same way as you would check if a light bulb is working? My LNB was accidentally dropped and I have not had a chance to check it out until now.

There is no way of checking a LMB without setting it up on to a satellite, but it is most unlikely to be damaged by short drop to the ground, unless it was from a grate height.

It is possible to check an LNB without setting it up using a professional satellite meter. Your local Satellite installer may be able to do it for you.
