I have just had to chuck mine in the bin after umpteen years of use,it needs to be as light as possible when empty a stainless steel inner would be ideal, dropped our old one countless times.Has anyone seen any any where ? There only seems to be smaller ones in the shops here or the very large 1.5 and up.
Bought my daughter one for school £4.99 Woolies in the sale. Might still have them in stock if you are lucky. Saw some in a shop called 'Home Bargains' for £2.99 on Saturday.
I was browsing in ASDA last night and they have a very nifty selection of flasks, in fact I picked one up myself...then the Store Detective camse around the corner!
Got my last one from Wilkinsons, they had a few different sizes.
What I don't like with the metal ones is they have the funny tops on which you press a button to pour without taking the top off, supposed to keep the contents hotter longer or something but they are a real fiddle to clean, I much prefer a proper screw on top.

got a 0.5 litre in a local bargain store for £3 does a good job, cant beat my trusty coleman 1 litre flask had it over 10 years has more dents in it than a touring car but still doesnt leak. Then again it is dented because I was always forgetting to lift it hen going on lunch then ask my mates to throw it to me. They always did
I had a stainless steel one for Christmas that cost £11 from a camping shop. My husband took it too watch my son play football during the really cold weather and by the time he wanted it the coffee was luke warm. As soon as you pour hot water in you can feel the heat through the flask. So that one went back and I bought a bargain plastic one in the Tesco spring sale for £1.47 and that one keeps drinks hot for hours. They may not look as nice as stainless steel but they do the job :)
Had a look today in Wilkinsons - the 1 litre are £9.99 & they have a carrying strap.
Not sure what you mean Mr Ultimate. I meant the tops are a fiddle to clean as you can't wash inside them properly. Thought I'd cleaned one properly after son had used it for soup but I had to throw the coffee I'd put in it away 'cos it tasted awful.
