Some advice please re flag pole. Recently bought one, kids been badgering me. Its also handy as now the kids are growing up a little, be good for them to see where the caravan is.
I've bought a ground spike for the pole to fit on/over and its quite long (its just like a very long stick to shove in the ground). Was thinking, is this the best way to get the pole up, doesnt feel very secure to me. Am thinking I'll probably have problems getting it in the ground far enough so as its secure.
Are there any other ways you set this up?
Many thanks.

The ground spike does not need to be driven all the way in, just 30cm is sufficient. Can't remember where I read it, however, I believe it was most likely from the internet vendor where I got my pole and ground spike, as in Sky Blue Leisure.

One of these at the top of your jockey wheel and one at the bottom. as sold in many caravan shops [/IMG].
Please take care , if it falls on someones car or outfit they can cause damage.
Investing in a small (washing line) spike and 2 brackets will do a good solid job.
Just tighten the brackets enough to hold the pole, over tighten and the pole will split.
Spikes available in wilkinsons £2 [/IMG]
I used things I had lying around at work, A spare jockey wheel clamp, a lump of aluminium angle and a cable gland to stop it chafing. It works well with an 8M pole on a breezy weekend
