Booked a stay in Cornwall (Looe) and the reviews say Rock Pegs essential due to the hard ground under the site.
Most I have looked at online seem to have the plastic tops - which mean that extracting them after my stay would be nigh on impossible (my experience is any pegs with plastic tops - the tops break when extracting)!!
Any recommendations / types people have used before?
I found getting rock pegs out with a claw hammer seems to do the job best. Put the claw under the metal cap of the peg and lever it till it starts to come out then either use the hammer or a peg extractor to pull right out. The only ones ive broke are the rock pegs with the green plastic tops. But yes getting them pegs out of hard ground can be a real bu**er. Geoff
I was just about to say, claw hammer, as well. Essential piece of equipment.

I have T-bar rock pegs from Delta pegs that are very well-made.
However, where I am at the mo at Birchwood, the ground is like concrete 10cm underneath, no hope for normal nylon Deltas for certain. The T-bar rock pegs would not go in in certain places, despite being hammered down with a claw hammer!
Due to bereavement, stainless steel products are not available from Delta pegs for the time being. However, hopefully, they will be available again in future.
