Is the only battery option to use a huge expensive leisure battery? (its really only for beer so no biggy)
Just wondered if there was a smaller option?
It only goes 16 below ambient so not great above 20 degrees, better to get a good 5 day cool box and add ice as needed, much cheaper and not a lot can go wrong with one. igloo coolbox
I've been using a normal box for ages, just with the long car journeys thought it might be an additional option. I think a few sites included power too so would be nice to take advantage. (Maybe I dreamt the last bit...)
Just another thought - anyone ever built a basket for the ice pack? Seeing as the top would be the warmest part and its hard to balance the pack on the salad...
If you like the idea of an electric cool box take a look at the easy camp coolbox, it runs of mains and 12 volt so no need for the transformer and it cools to 20c below the ambient temp.
