Morning all,

Just back from a fab weekend at Nicholson's Farm just outside Leominster. Great little site.

I have one of these,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/161017470700?device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=83&ff19=0, which I hasten to say I didn't pay that price for!!.

I hooked it up to the gas bottle and it was great, but it didn't have much pressure. It didn't blow out, but looked as though it probably would have done, if it had been windier.

Have I possibly got the wrong regulator? Or what determines the rate at which the gas comes out?

I purposely bought a catering style gas ring so that i could get a bit of oomph.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Nick

Could you possibly post a link for your regulator or a similar one?

Thanks

you need to check the requirements of the boiling ring in the manual, high pressure regulators come in various flavours.

TBH I dont think you will get much more "ooph" from that than a decent camping stove, its just it has regualtors built in to reduce the pressure, whereas camping ones don't.

you also need the orange high pressure hose and proper hose clamps,

If you really want to keep it, Id get 2 regualtors, if one breaks (they do, eventually) you might find it hard to get a replacement

That has a different fitting, does that mean I am using the wrong type of gas or gas bottle? I have a blue gas bottle that the regulator clips directly on to the top of with a sort of turn switch to lock it on.
