I'm thinking about buy a Tripod, Skillet and Dutch Oven to expand my cooking from burgers and beans.

Any advice recommendations?

And if possible where to buy near Greater Manchester, as the P&P of these heavy items is nearly as much as the sale price (I've tried to ask a few Blacksmiths about making, but they aren't that up for it, busy making gates etc...)

must admit for the tripod I'm getting although it's in the same county I will be paying for delivery as it's still cheaper than the diesel to collect here

I suppose it depends on weight it can carry.
The Dutch Ovens and heavy steel pots and with contents could buckle those legs.
But for just the hanging grill for meats and sausages it looks a goer.

I remember when younger, road works used twisted steel rods with hoops on the end for taping off the area, I'm sure three of those interlinked would do it. Just have to try and find them as they now use plastic barriers.

I have one of the landmann ones and have had a roaring wood fire on it and a 3ltr Dutch oven hanging from it full of chilli no probs!

The legs separate into 3 sections for east transport, the legs on the fire dish can be screwed off too.

Have a look on Ronnie Sunshine too. I have used a Dutch oven from there many times and they are suburb.
