started camping with out electric hook up but still would like to use our electric cool box but car battery only lasts 5 hrs max and completely flat after. can anyone advise me on the leisure batteries that are available and do they last long enough to be worth while buying

Simple answer is that even a 110Ah leisure battery won't power a cool box for long - they are very power hungry and, on 12v, are not particularly efficient

Best to just put freezer packs in it (assuming there is somewhere on site to freeze them)

Yes forget using it on any battery as it will quickly flatten it
