I have noticed on super pitches that some caravans have a hose from the tap that goes straight into the caravan via the connector, eliminating the barrel and float system.
Does anybody have one and if so how much and where from?
I think it might be about 60/40 Aquaroll/direct feed. This is the system we use, the only thing that is different is the connection into the van, the hose has an inline pressure reducer and as I said in clevers link we have never had any problems with it.

As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We use the direct system and have done for several years and have had no problems so far, although we do turn the water off at source when we go out for the day
Likewise I also use a Truma direct connection and have done so for quite some time and for what must be a total of at least 200 nights - no problems except the water pressure from the taps is a bit lower than with a pump. A couple of years or so back I tried to make a failsafe system that would shut down the water feed if the caravan side of things over pressurised, but after experimenting with a ball bearing surge valve and a solenoid running off the existing pressure switch I decided it was not worth the effort. I do know of people who use a flow restrictor at the tap end of the line - basically a disk with a small hole in it to limit water flow to about 10 litres/min or less.

I think most people tend to avoid the 'direct feed' systems due to the risk of flooding your van if any of the system fails.
I started off with a "direct" water connection hose but found that the caravan shower did not produce as much pressure as when supplied by the pump in the Aquaroll.
As I could find no way of adjusting the "direct connection" pressure I changed it for a "Ball cock" system fitted in the Aquaroll.
Pleased I did ‘cos I now believe it to be a safer system.
PS. If you store your drinking water separately from the Aquaroll, you can get away with the use of normal green garden hose instead of the mega expensive blue "food safe" hose.
Green garden hose will taint drinking water but is cheaper to buy in longer lengths.
