Thinking about buying a Bigfoot motor mover, the type that replaces the jockey wheel. The one I am interested in is the Extra Torque model. I have a fairly long driveway that is covered in gravel. Caravan is single axle type weighing approximately 1200 kgs. Does anyone have experience with this type of mover on similar surfaces?

I bought one on Ebay for 50 quid. A totally useless piece of cr*p.

It couldn't roll my van over a one inch high step into my garage.

Plus the fact that it was too heavy to take with us to use on a caravan park.

Far better as Birdman says, to get a proper mover that you can use anywhere and move your van over any surface.
Also with the proper mover, you can stand anywhere around the van to position it exactly where you want it.

We sold the Bigfoot on for the same price and have been using motor movers ever since.

The jockey wheel typre are a good tool: They of coarse will never be as good as the motor mover: but for the price their handy tool: If going over slight kerbs or whatever you have to get a run at it, no good if you try to move when its wedged against obstical: But if you can afford it the motormover will always win:
