Yes, google Waeco Coolfreeze, various models of portable fridge freezers that can freeze down to minus 18. work on 12v or mains ehu with a mains adaptor. Not very cheap though.

Yep, any of the Waeco CoolFreeze models can be used as a freezer 12/24v or 230AC

Another good option wood be the MobiCool C40 Mains 230AC only, in fact we used ours as a temprory Freezer when we moved house last year.

Got the Mobicool C40 (not to be confused with the B40) from Obelink in Holland £139 inc delivery to UK February 2013.

Other than the above you could just opt for a Table Top Domestic Freezer, which would be the cheapest option at around £80. fine for UK but if going to Southern Europe you would need to check if it will cope in high temps.

The Mobicool C40 230V model consumes an average of 65W app 1/4 of an amp no problem with even the lowest rated hookup.

Do you mean you actually want a freezer or just a fridge? Cheapest option for ehu is a small domestic table top fridge with small freezer compartment, get them from Argos etc for about £80.

Hi R.Hun.
The Mobicool C40 has a capacity of 40lts in fact we managed to get the entire contents of our home freezer into it, having said that we had run down our home freezer somewhat, but what we did not bank on was being without a home fridge/freezer for a week caused by our bundling solicitors delaying our move by a week, although we did get £400 compo for that cock up.

For mobile use and for when there is no electric available on campsite, we have a little Waeco CF25 which will also work as a dedicated Freezer if need, and even that at just 23lt capacity would take your 6kg load, and still leave plenty of room for other stuff.

The Waeco has been great, and we got it back in 2008 new, a bargain £150 find although I had to pay £20 shipping but still worth every penny.
