I used to use Safe Store where you can use Tesco vouchers, However I soon ran out of vouchers and access is 8-6, and not convenient. It was a small locker

I now use Outer Space just off the M60 at Denton with full height locker and 24hr access. I pay around 30 a month but you need to shop around and check the price 4 week month against calendar month. With 16 sq ft I can get 4 tents, 4 chairs, 4 sims, wind break, tarps, a dozen blankets, duvet, 2 sets kitchen stuff, double cooker, fold flat bbq, a number of sleeping bags. 2 tables. bag of wet suits, toys etc etc. and still got some space.

Most stuff is kept in the cellar, sims and sleeping bags under beds.
Luckily the cellar is pretty dry and has carpets/radiators. Damp hasn't been a problem for the last 15 years...

Everything is in the garage all waiting to go, we just pull car up to garage, fill the boot, check nothing is left in the area, add food and go!

All our stuff is piled up in the corner of one of the spare bedrooms. I've tried using the shed before but suffered damage caused by mould and severe cold. Also, there's the theft risk which is always much higher for stuff stored in an outbuilding (and the corresponding risk of the insurance not paying out if things are stolen).

Now we've got a significant investment in camping gear, we'd rather not take chances with it.

Thank you! That's really useful to know, especially as you aren't all that far from me. :). I've never been able to get quotes or anything because I have no concept of what 20sq ft or whatever is in real life!

Definitely worth considering for us I think.

Some stuff on a rack in my bed room....Some non perishables in my leaky old lock up....And now that daughter has moved out....A spare room for bags and bags of wood for my campfires...and a bit of room for the overflow in my bed room...All carried up and down 5 flights of stairs(And one flight up to carpark) when I hire a van for my trips....

Jelboy.

Mine is in the shed, well I say shed , it is better than some new built timber frame houses and I'm told I could build a second story on it.
But importantly , it's well insulated, very dry, fully lined, ventilated, Fully Alarmed, but alas no heat as yet but working out if it's worth while making a rocket stove to heat it.
All the camping gear is in here apart from sleeping bags and mats.
I would love to be able to leave it all packed in the trailer ready to rock'n'roll as I think we would be camping a lot more often.

Thank you Donnod123

Most in trailer in the garage. Yes the trailer is on wood so that the tyres are not under any pressure for months on end. Gas in the shed with double burner and tiny coleman stove. Sleeping bags in cupboard beside the airing cupboard. Cool box in the loft.

I rent a garage off my local council to keep the trailer and all my camping bits in, except the flysheet and the 'weekend' tent, they live in the cupboard in our daughters room along with the sleeping bags :-)
