Hi
Trying to decide whether to buy the Kampa Rally Air 390 awning or the Sunncamp Airvolution 390 Awning. Pulling towards the Sunncamp coz I see you can now buy a sleeping annex to attach to the side??? Anyone got any of these awnings that can recommend??? Does the Kampa Rally Air also have a sleeping annex???
Thanks any comments welcome!!
No Annexe on the Rally but they do make a superb Fiesta Air which you can buy an annex for. The Kampas are better, the shape and design and I doubt you will get one for a while as I think they are sold out everywhere for a month or two. Saying that the Sunncamp is good and great value. If its an inflatable with an annex you are after you could do a lot worse than the Fiesta Air from Kampa and its great value. I like the new Grey colour that's available this year.

Wish we had gone to the show - would be good to see the different awnings on display!! Still thinking we will probably go for the sunncamp as a little bigger than the kampa fiesta and cheaper than the kampa rally air!!
Hey matey, i think you have your wires crossed, Kampa have production problems. I was given the below information when i enquired about a Kampa awning a few weekends ago!
Dear Kampa Retailer
Every day we are asked about the stock situation on our awnings please find this update below. Naturally, or you wouldn’t be getting this email it is not all good news but at least you understand the situation and can plan , and answer your customers questions accordingly.
We now have visibility for the months of February and March on Availability of our awnings. Please note dates are to Felixstowe – add 7 days to be available .
Standard Rally’s – In stock and more due eta Felixstowe – 16th Feb.
Rally Club – In stock
Rally Pro - only 520 in stock, Rest of range due on Monday , and 16th Feb. and 23rd Feb.
Rally Ace & Annexe - eta 28th Feb
Rally Air - all sizes April
Rally Air Pro - all sizes April
Fiesta Air & Annexe - Both colours eta 28th Feb
Motor Rally - All sizes 23rd Feb & 28th Feb
Motor Rally Air - All sizes 23rd Feb
Unfortunately , the factory have taken a decision to manufacture for production run purposes all of the Fiesta Air and Motor Rally Air stock for the year , which is the bulk of the deliveries.
This means they were not making Rally Air and Rally Pro Air before Chinese New year.
Now we are in the Chinese New Year Holidays we know nothing will have been built between the 20th January to the 17th February.
Therefore we can assume that they will not be building the stock we requested until later this month which means the earliest stock of Rally Air and Rally Air Pro will be the end of March with you in April. What the makeup of that stock will be we won’t know, until it is despatched around the end of February/start of March.
We can only apologise for the delay in Rally Air and Rally Air Pro stock , we placed our orders at the end of August in good faith and increased them in November and December as you placed your requirements with us. I can confirm we have ordered enough stock to service all of your orders and have paid huge deposits on the stock so they can purchase the raw materials. We have agreed to extend the production of Rally Air and Rally Pro for the rest of the year to catch up and get into a stock situation in the future. I genuinely believe that once Chinese New Year has finished and they get back to production we will quickly catch up with your requirements in April and May.
I enclose a general letter which you are welcome to show/ send to any of your customers waiting for stock, which informs them of the situation and makes sure that they understand it is not your fault.
We are really sorry for the delay, and we appreciate your support
Kindest regards

Ref : Rally Air and Rally Air Pro Inflatable Awning
Dear Customer,
I am writing to apologise for the delay in delivery of your Rally Air or Rally Air Pro awning. As you may be aware demand for this market leading product is extremely high as everyone realises the benefit of our single point inflation awnings. Our production plan which was formulated last August has not been adhered to and although your retailer has placed their order with us for stock, our factory are unable to produce the awnings quickly enough. The complicated and technical nature of the product means that only the best seamstresses and technicians can produce the Rally Air. This limits how many can be made on a daily basis, further to this the factory has shut down for Chinese New Year and this has also delayed the stock. We now anticipate stock to be supplied to your retailer in April – we cannot guarantee you will have your awning before Easter, but we will try our very best. Please note your retailer may also have a backlog of customers waiting for the same product. We understand that there are alternative products to the Kampa Rally Air and you may be tempted to buy one of these rather than wait. Unfortunately the other types of products do not use the technically advanced single point inflation system that we use, and so insert fibreglass/metal poles or inflate lots of beams using Velcro to attach – it defeats the idea of a quick and hassle free awning. There is a saying – good things come to those who wait, and your Kampa awning will be worth the wait. Once again please accept our apologies for the delay, it is not your dealers fault and you will shortly have a fantastic market leading product. I would like to thank you for your patience on behalf of all at Kampa.
Only just noticed this thread; interesting Post by JonFreeman.
The problem is obviously with the factory making the awnings in China. Strange that they gave priority to manufacturing the less popular Fiesta & Motor rally air awnings. Unfortunately it seems the sales directors prediction of orders fulfilled by the end of April was a little over optimistic. Mine won't be delivered until May at the earliest, and I ordered at the beginning of March!
Such a shame as this means our family holiday in May will be greatly compromised without an awning.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
