Sick of airbeds deflating and getting cold etc. But I think a SIM on the ground is too low. We are thinking of an Outwell Posadas double with a double Outwell Dreamboat SIM on top - Has anyone used this bed with a double SIM - how does it work out over the centre bar, could it damage the SIM? I tried the single versions of both at Go Outdoors and nearly fell asleep in the shop it was so comfortable - we just can't afford the singles x 2
I'm not sure that the double would be able to go over the bar. You may end up with both sides of the SIM not reaching the edge of the beds. To be honest on a camp bed even a cheap 3-5cm SIM gives a comfortable nights sleep.
We have the Outwell Posadas singles and I just wanted to let you know they are pretty heavy! Not sure how much a double would weigh but thought I would mention it!
...........
On reflection - you probably know how heavy they are because you tested one out !

We went to Towsure yesterday to looking to answer the same question. After carrying a Vango 3cm double SIM through the shop and testing it I can say it worked a treat. There is a seam down the centre of the Vango that did a great job of alleviating the problem with the bar.
Now we haven't spent the night on it yet but initial tests impressed. On top of that the Vango SIM was on sale!
