hi, I bought a 2nd hand hitchlock yesterday off ebay thinking it would fit my caravan, I didn't realise their are different types. The hitchlock I bought is an alko TYP 1 ETI 8110202. (see pic). My caravan is a 1998 model ( see pic of hitch ). When I attempt to fit it over the hitch, the pin that's connected to the key doesn't lock into the slot in the hitch ! So it looks like its going back on ebay for sale. Can anyone point out the correct type I need please, thanks in advance.

You are right, there are different types of Al-ko hitch stabilisers and it would have been advisable to look at their website first but even though there are three shown in the link there is another called the AKS 2000 model with an offset handle that is not shown. Have a look at the link and see if your stabiliser is identical to one of these. As your links are not working then we have to try another way to offer help.

OK found it...

You have the lock for the 3004 stabiliser hitch not the 1300 taht you have.

The 3004 has a lip on the side that triggers the locking pin.

You have the wrong part. You need one for the 1300.
