Hi,

Saw the bbq bags firstly at Aldi & thought we would give them a go. Seen them in a few places now Wilkos / Sainsburys.

Well tried & tested now & think they are great.
I always like to use the tools for holding sausages / burgers / meats etc ...think it cuts down on the cleaning of the bbq grill & so much easier to turn for even cooking....got sick of loosing sausages in the coals
Using the bags we cooked Chicken Tandoori & Chicken chasseur no mess to clean up just empty onto the plates then throw the bag away.
Gotta love anything that saves on washing up .

So have been wondering if anyone else has used them & what they thought ...or if anyone else had any ideas of what to cook in them ...as it seems kinda anything you cook in oven bags at home could be done the same on the bbq

Hmmmm, not sure if I would be using them, as I prefer the fat to drip onto the hot coal to add to the flavour etc...

How does the food get that BBQ flavour. Would also worry about the chemicals that the bags are made of leaching into the food, must be something potent to resist the heat of a good BBQ

Well the burgers & sausages other meats still get the flavours of the bbg & fat still drips.
Not had any chemical taste to the food ...up to yet ..the bags are foil on the underneath & clear on top ...must be same stuff that the cook-in-oven bags are made from?? not sure.
Its not to completely get rid of the 'usual' bbg way of cooking but to be able to add flavours in the way of sauces ....just gives more options .

Yes I've used them..... I've cooked marinated chicken breasts, they come out lovely and moist and tender, also use them to cook vegetables, tip a bag of stir fry veg in along with a bit of olive oil and soy sauce, just shake it a few times during cooking....mmm lovely.
