The size of pitches on campsites varies so it is difficult to say. Some campsites will stipulate the size of their pitches and some won't. Some will charge extra and provide a larger pitch for tents over a certain size or over a certain 'man size'. Unless somebody has a tent of similar size and can tell you if they have had any problems then you might not get a definitive answer.
Bearing in mind some people stick huge extensions on their tents I shouldn't think yours would be exceptional.
Birchwood Tourist Park in Wareham, Dorset, stipulates that maximum tent size on any pitch is 4.6m x 6.7m, over that and it will incur additional charges.
For Camping and Caravanning Club, tents over 5m x 9m would need to go onto their jumbo pitches.
Other sites vary, of course. Therefore, it is worth checking with the camp site first to avoid mis-understanding and disappointments.
